16-year-old Lily Yohannes had a US Womens national team debut to remember on Tuesday night scoring a goal in a 3-0 friendly win over Colombia in Orlando Florida. The midfielder from Cary North Carolina became the third-youngest player to ever appear for the USWNT behind Kristine Lilly and Tiffany Roberts.

Yohannes's debut was a sign of the bright future for the USWNT. The team is in a transition period following the retirement of several key players from the 2019 World Cup-winning squad and Yohannes is one of the young players who is expected to help lead the team in the years to come.
