Updated COVID-19 Entry Requirements for Pakistan

Government Implements New Vaccination Mandate

The Government of Pakistan has recently announced revised COVID-19 guidelines for inbound travelers. Effective immediately, all travelers aged 12 and over are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter the country.

Testing Requirements upon Return

Domestic Travelers

All returning Pakistani citizens and residents will undergo COVID-19 testing upon arrival in Pakistan.

International Travelers

All international travelers, regardless of their vaccination status, will be tested for COVID-19 upon arrival.

Saudi Foreign Minister's Visit

In related news, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud is scheduled to visit Pakistan on August 24th. The visit aims to strengthen bilateral ties and discuss regional issues, including the ongoing peace process in Afghanistan.

COVID-19 Test Exemption for US Citizens

As per the updated guidelines, visitors from the United States are exempt from the requirement to present a negative COVID-19 test upon entry into Pakistan.

Symptoms Screening at Port of Arrival

Passengers arriving from countries experiencing an increase in COVID-19 cases may face symptom screening at the port of arrival. Those found to have symptoms will be subjected to further testing and quarantine measures as necessary.
